The Death Fizzler (not to be confused with the Human Flesh Emancipation Grid) is a custom fizzler found in Portal 2 mods Aperture Tag, Portal Stories: Mel, and BEEMod. It combines the functions of the Material Emancipation Grid and the Laser Field, though both can be controlled independently of one another.
In BEEMod, the Death Fizzler must be used in conjunction with the Input A/B System. Input A will refer to the Material Emancipation Grid while Input B will refer to the Laser Field. In the Death Fizzler's menu, deselecting "Start Enabled" will cause the Emancipation Grid to begin inactive, while deselecting "Start Reversed" will instead cause the Laser Field to begin inactive.
The overall function of the Death Fizzler can be replicated with an Emancipation Grid and a Laser Field placed side-by-side, rendering the Death Fizzler somewhat redundant.
